About The Position

CVS Shared Services Resources LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Decision Scientist to Create and implement decision models to analyze patient demographics, resource allocation, cost-effectiveness, and operational optimization, addressing the complexities of healthcare systems and processes. Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate new programs or technologies, quantify potential risks and benefits, and assess the impact of strategic decisions. Apply expertise in analytical techniques and Decision Model and Notation (DMN) software to derive actionable insights for critical business decisions. Configure system components to identify patterns, trends, and correlations in large datasets for enhanced understanding of patient populations, healthcare utilization, treatment efficacy, and cost drivers. Evaluate key metrics from healthcare programs, interventions, or policies to assess performance and recommend improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate decision models and support tools seamlessly into operational workflows. Communicate data-driven insights to internal stakeholders, advising on business decisions of moderate complexity. Apply advanced decision science principles in consulting on the selection, design, and evaluation of decision support systems. Telecommuting available. Multiple positions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 60 months of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
  • Five (5) years of experience in writing application code and deploying to production.
  • Five (5) years of experience in developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating with peers on software development solutions.
  • Five (5) years of experience in programming in R, Hadoop, or Python; SAS or SQL programming languages.
  • Five (5) years of experience in CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Five (5) years of experience in XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
  • Five (5) years of experience in JIRA.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Agile.
