Requirements

High school or trade school graduate with good mechanical capabilities.
Ability to use calipers or measuring devices to meet department requirements a plus.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and have a cooperative, team spirit.
Frequent lifting or moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
May be required to work up to 10 overtime hours per week and may be temporarily assigned to other areas of the shop.
Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment (including hot, cold and/or noisy areas).
Frequent hand to finger, handle, feel objects & tools, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking and hearing.
Physically submit to periodic drug tests (employment is contingent upon favorable results).

Responsibilities

Perform all functions of deburring such as finger sanding, belt-sanding, retapping, lapping, filing, scraping, sanding with sandpaper and Scotch-Brite and counter-sinking with hand machine drills.
Ability to use drill, press and Bridgeport machines.
Cleaning parts with various substances.
Load and unload parts from tumbler and sandblaster.
Pick up machined parts from machining groups and deliver finished parts to inspectors.
Sort, count and tag parts before delivering to inspectors.
Perform visual inspection to meet customer’s specifications.
Ensure overall cleanliness of area.
Ensure that proper maintenance is performed on all equipment for this area.
Follow and maintain all department policies and procedures.
Enter data as required into company computer system.
