About The Position

Set up and operate a variety of power/hand tools, standard deburr equipment to remove nicks, scratches, rough and sharp edges from parts. Needs to be very particular in recognizing acceptable cosmetic appearances without over-burring.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience with deburr preferred
  • Requires standing and repetitive movements
  • De-burring efficiently without over-burr.
  • Looking for process improvements.
  • Be able to solve problem parts while keeping them within specification limits.
  • Keep area neat and clean.
  • Keeps tools lubricated and in good working order.
  • Basic skill in using inspection tools.
  • Maintains parts per drawing tolerances.
  • Maintain a good efficiency.
  • Works to schedule and not easiest part.
  • Motivation – displays a positive attitude, offers helpful suggestions, works well under pressure and in a team environment, understands and supports customer mission and value statement.
  • Attendance – attendance in line with company policy, reliable.
  • Productivity – produces acceptable amount of work, completes projects in a timely manner.
  • Must be prepared to sit or stand for majority of shift.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Other duties as required by supervision.
  • Training – ensures required training classes are completed by the scheduled time.
  • Safety – follow all guidelines, policies and procedures as related to safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Understand work orders and special instructions when burring difficult and close tolerance jobs.
  • Basic ability to read/interpret blue prints and customer engineering documentation.
  • Staying on task and able to do repetitive work for extended periods of time.
  • Offers manufacturing suggestions for reducing costs.
  • Communicates with supervisors and fellow employees across all shifts.
  • Maintains a good relationship with peers by staying positive.
  • Relates perishable needs to supervisor.
  • Ability to recognize non-conforming parts and able to save parts that have been damaged and possibly still in tolerance.
  • Confirm with engineering, supervisory, or inspection personnel to verify technical information.
  • Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
  • Separate scrap waste and related materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal.
