About The Position

The Deburr Technician is responsible for removing sharp edges from metal parts using various hand and power tools, washing and tumbling parts, visually inspecting them, and masking areas to be protected from paint. This role also involves the use of paints and lacquers, and may include other duties as assigned in departments like Assembly. The position is non-exempt (hourly) and offers a full-time schedule.

Requirements

  • No experience required.
  • Experience with hand tools
  • Ability to quickly complete repetitive tasks under time deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience deburring metal parts in a precision job shop is preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints a plus
  • Prior experience running lathes or mills, a plus
  • The successful candidate will exhibit the interest in long-term employment and the ability to be cross-trained in other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Use of various hand tools and power tools including orbital sanders, grinders to remove sharp edges
  • Wash and tumble metal parts using finishing machinery
  • Visually inspect parts prior to submitting to Quality Control
  • Mask areas of parts to be protected from paint
  • Use of paints and lacquers
  • Other duties as assigned such as in our Assembly Department
