About The Position

Under moderate department leadership supervision, this career track spans from entry-level. Removes sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections from metal or plastic parts using hand tools (files, scrapers), power tools (grinders, sanders), or specialized machinery. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine the required specifications for each job. Ensure production quotas are met. Inspect and measure finished products for quality and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing metals deburr experience
  • Ability to communicate machine problems, quality issues and other concerns or questions to departmental management
  • Must be quality conscious
  • Ability to use and interpret precision measurement equipment
  • Ability to interpret aircraft blueprints and engineering
  • Ability to interpret specs
  • Ability to interpret mylars
  • Ability to interpret GD&T
  • Knowledge of CNC tooling, ie end mills, drill bits, reamers, etc.
  • Ability to use various/basic hand tools
  • Moderate organizational skills
