About The Position

NXA Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Deburr Specialist to join their team. This role is crucial for ensuring that all laser-cut components are free of burrs and sharp edges before proceeding to downstream processes. The Deburr Specialist will handle materials carefully to prevent damage, deburr parts according to specifications while maintaining product integrity, and use protective coverings on work surfaces. This position also involves assisting other operators, supporting machine maintenance, maintaining organization of consumables, and ensuring a clean and safe work area. Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs consecutively and stand for 8+ hours per day.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively and assist other team members as needed.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all laser-cut components are free of burrs and sharp edges before moving to downstream processes.
  • Handle all materials carefully to avoid scratching or damaging surfaces.
  • Properly deburr parts according to specifications while maintaining product integrity.
  • Use tape or protective coverings on work surfaces to prevent material damage.
  • Assist Laser Operators, Press Brake Operators, and Raw Material Specialists as needed.
  • Support upkeep and maintenance of all machines and equipment within the Cutting and Forming Cell.
  • Maintain organization of consumables, punches, and dies in the work cell.
  • Enter time into Counterpart correctly each day.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
  • Prepare and stage all necessary materials for the next day’s work.
  • Cross-train when opportunities arise and assist in various cell operations as needed.
  • Submit a minimum of two improvement opportunities per quarter to the Leader of Cutting and Forming.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
