About The Position
The Debug Engineer is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues across systems, products, and/or processes. This role requires strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to root cause analysis to identify and resolve failures at the component and system level. The ideal candidate thrives in a repair-focused environment, collaborates effectively with technicians and quality teams, and is committed to improving turnaround times, repair success rates, and overall product reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or 3+ years’ of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in relevant tools or languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, SQL, lab instrumentation, test tools)
- Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent documentation and technical reporting skills
- Ability to interpret schematics, logs, or system designs
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely fashion; this is a fast-paced quick turnaround environment
- Ability to collaborate with peers at all levels within the organization
- Health and Safety conscious

- Knowledge and use of MS Office suite and data management tools considered a strong asset
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed debugging, fault isolation, and repair of telecommunications circuit boards and related equipment
- Execute component-level troubleshooting, including identifying defective parts and recommending repairs or replacements
- Document failure modes, root causes, and repair actions for tracking and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with technicians, test teams, and quality to resolve recurring issues and improve repair processes
- Develop and refine troubleshooting procedures, test methods, and repair standards
- Identify trends in failures and recommend corrective or preventative actions
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues as needed and provide clear technical updates
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and turnaround time targets
