About The Position

South Carolina Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Debit Card Operations Team Lead to join our team of outstanding Card Operations professionals in North Charleston, SC. This role involves achieving operational performance in alignment with Card Operations goals, supervising operational activities, directing staff, and resolving escalated member complaints. The Team Lead will also evaluate and improve departmental processes, coordinate record retention, and assist the Card Operations Manager with planning, organizing, training, and motivating staff.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of three years of similar or related experience in a financial services work environment.
• A minimum of one year demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze situations and make solid decisions with exceptional judgment.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, with advanced expertise in Excel.
• Proficient mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve operational performance in alignment with Card Operations goals, including reviewing progress, monitoring productivity, and recommending improvements.
• Supervise operational activities and work flow, direct staff, escalate problems, assess corrective steps, and execute corrective action with vendors, staff, and management.
• Research and resolve escalated member complaints and authorize corrections as needed.
• Evaluate processes within the department and provide recommendations for improvement or change.
• Coordinate Card Operations record retention practices and ensure procedures are documented, updated, and the area is in compliance.
• Assist Card Operations Manager as needed to plan, organize, train, and motivate staff and department.
