About The Position

Frostburg State University (FSU) seeks applications for a full-time, exempt level Dean of Students. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Position includes the robust University System of Maryland benefits package, which is comprised of annual, personal, and sick leave, holidays, tuition remission, health, dental, vision, and life insurance, and retirement plans.

Requirements

Master’s or Professional degree
5 years of Student Affairs experience related to student conduct.

Nice To Haves

Doctoral degree
Evidence of training certifications related to Title IX decision-making.

Responsibilities

Promoting the safety and wellbeing of FSU students through the administration of the university's community standards and Code of Student Conduct under the supervision of the Associate Vice President for Student Affairs.
Overseeing the investigation and adjudication of on and off campus policy violations.
Providing training to Residence Life staff and university personnel related to judicial proceedings.
Collaborating with law enforcement partners.
Managing the Students of Concern committee.
Serving in a variety of capacities related to student safety, crisis management, and dispute resolution, while maintaining compliance with Title IX policies.
Coordinating program compliance, assessment, and evaluation for all matters pertaining to student conduct.
Leading university initiatives related to student orientation.
Completing other administrative duties as assigned.
