About The Position

The Dean of Students works under the guidance of and in concert with the principal and assistant principal to provide leadership in the development and direction of an instructional program designed to achieve diocesan and parish objectives. Under the direction of the principal and assistant principal, the Dean of Students serves as an instructional leader in the planning, coordination, and administration of school activities and programs, including curriculum, instruction, assessment, student conduct and attendance, athletics and extracurricular programs, school plant operations, and teacher support.

Requirements

  • Accepts the vocation and challenges of leadership in Catholic education and aids in the Catholic formation of students
  • Holds a bachelors degree in education
  • Has a minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience
  • Within five (5) years of employment in the position of dean of students, shall earn 15 college credits in school administration at the masters degree level
  • Possesses skills in management, organization, and oral/written communication
  • Works productively and collaboratively with students, peers, and parents
  • Possesses good relational skills and possesses good physical and emotional health
  • Mastery of Microsoft technology platform.
  • Proficient with FACTS Student Information System.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the Middle School House System.
  • Proficient in developing schedules for carline arrival and dismissal
  • Proficient in developing student schedules
