The Dean of Students for Community Care and Inclusion serves as the senior student affairs administrator and primary manager for the Office of Student Affairs at the Pacific Northwest College of the Arts (PNCA) in Portland. This role collaborates with campus partners to create environments and initiatives that support students’ sense of belonging, wellbeing, and engagement, fostering students’ success. The Dean supervises professional staff, oversees advocacy and support for students experiencing distress through the student CARE process, and manages the student code of conduct and conflict resolution initiatives. The Dean also serves as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator, oversees student events, club advising, new student orientation, and participates in an on-call rotation for emergency response. This role is a relationship builder, mentoring, advising, and connecting with students and the campus community to identify needs and develop strategies to enhance the student experience at PNCA, collaborating with academic leadership and staff across both the PNCA and Salem campuses.
