About The Position

The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor is seeking a dean to lead two colleges: the College of Christian Studies and the College of Visual and Performing Arts. This role involves championing faculty, programs, and the distinct identities of each college while advancing the University's mission. The shared-dean model aims to provide strong academic and administrative leadership while preserving the unique characteristics of each college. The College of Visual and Performing Arts includes Art, Music, and the UMHB Arts Academy, with studios, ensembles, exhibitions, and performances serving the University and Central Texas. Art and Music hold disciplinary accreditation from NASAD and NASM, respectively. The Dean will provide administrative leadership, enable each college to flourish, work with Associate Deans, teach up to two courses per year, serve under a 12-month contract, and report to the Provost & Senior VP for Academic Affairs.
