About The Position

As a Deals - Valuation Intern, you will engage in the dynamic world of deal valuation, providing strategic advice, due diligence, and valuation services to help clients make informed decisions and maximize value. Within our Advisory practice, you will gain exposure to a wide range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and learn how to analyze and determine the value of assets, businesses, and financial instruments. As an Intern, you will support teams by participating in projects and performing basic tasks, focusing on learning and gaining exposure to PwC's practices. You will observe professional work environments and contribute to the team's success by conducting research and applying a learning mindset. This role emphasizes the importance of taking both observational and participatory roles on teams, allowing you to develop your personal brand and build commercial awareness. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of assignments, each presenting unique challenges and scope. You are encouraged to ask questions, take initiative, and produce quality work that adds value for our clients and contributes to our team’s success. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor's degree
  • Client service intern positions are entry-level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program.
  • Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year

Responsibilities

  • Supporting teams in conducting asset and business valuations for mergers and acquisitions
  • Participating in the analysis of financial statements to assess company performance and stability
  • Assisting in the development of valuation models for financial reporting and compliance purposes
  • Engaging in the preparation of strategic advice and due diligence for business transactions
  • Utilizing Alteryx for automating data analysis processes and enhancing efficiency
  • Collaborating with advisory consultants to guide clients towards sustainable growth and competitive advantage
  • Observing and learning from professional work environments to develop personal brand and commercial awareness
  • Conducting research on industry trends and market insights to inform valuation strategies
  • Applying a learning mindset to gain exposure to PwC practices and methodologies
  • Gathering information from various sources to analyze facts and discern patterns in valuation projects
