About The Position

Proofpoint is looking for a motivated Deals Desk Analyst II to join our Finance organization. We work together to help Sales navigate quoting and deal structure questions while ensuring transactions move through the Quote-to-Cash process smoothly and in accordance with company policies. As a Deals Desk Analyst II, you'll strategize with Sales and cross-functional teams to support pricing, quoting, and deal structure for a variety of customer transactions. You'll independently manage standard and complex opportunities, helping Sales structure deals that meet customer needs while aligning with company policies and business objectives. You'll also have opportunities to identify process improvements that make quoting more efficient for both Sales and internal teams. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys solving problems, working across teams, and helping move deals forward while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Deals Desk, Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Finance, Sales Support, or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting a SaaS or enterprise software business is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to support recommendations.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ, and Microsoft Excel is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both Sales and cross-functional teams.
  • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to continuously improve processes and the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Sales teams on pricing, quoting, and deal structure questions.
  • Review customer account information and transaction details to ensure quotes are accurate and complete.
  • Partner with Sales to develop deal structures that align with customer needs, pricing guidelines, and company policies.
  • Review pricing requests, contractual language, and discounts to ensure required approvals are obtained and properly documented.
  • Work with Revenue, Legal, Finance, Product Management, Order Management, and other teams to resolve more complex or non-standard transactions.
  • Apply your knowledge of the Quote-to-Cash process to help ensure transactions move efficiently from quote through booking, especially during period-end deadlines.
  • Use data to help support pricing recommendations and maintain consistency across transactions.
  • Look for opportunities to improve quoting processes and share ideas that help increase efficiency and reduce friction.
