As a Dealership Trainee, you’ll participate in a structured, hands-on development program designed to prepare you for leadership roles within the Hunter Truck dealership network.

Requirements

College degree preferred, or 2 years of work experience in the heavy-duty truck or related industry.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and internet applications; basic truck knowledge; ability to type.
Ability to read and interpret business and technical materials, write reports and correspondence, and present effectively to managers, clients, and customers.
Valid driver’s license required, must meet company insurability standards.
CDL required and Vehicle Sales License if required in your state (both can be obtained upon hire).
Frequent walking and driving; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching; occasional lifting/moving up to 50 lbs.
Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.

Responsibilities

Complete a structured Dealership Trainee program with rotations through all key departments: Parts, Service, Truck Sales, Leasing, Finance, and Corporate.
Gain hands-on experience in departmental operations, policies, procedures, and skills necessary for progression.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with management, customers, and vendors.
Attend OEM, vendor, and dealership-sponsored events and training sessions.
Complete required training and obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in your state.
Demonstrate competence in problem-solving, customer care, creative thinking, team leadership, project execution, and group presentations.
Participate in regular review meetings with department managers, the General Manager, corporate support, and a mentor.
Upon successful program completion, accept placement within the Hunter Truck dealership network to continue your career path.
