About The Position

As the Service Manager at Seattle MINI, you will oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, efficient workflows, and departmental profitability. You will lead a team of technicians, advisors, and support staff while maintaining compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in an automotive service environment
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle repair processes, manufacturer guidelines, and warranty procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in dealership management software and reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Additional education in automotive management or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall operations of the service department, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow optimization.
  • Lead, train, and mentor service advisors, technicians, and support staff to achieve performance goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as labor hours, revenue, customer satisfaction scores, and technician efficiency, providing regular feedback and implementing strategies for improvement.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including parts and sales, to ensure seamless operations and interdepartmental support.
  • Maintain accurate records for repairs, warranties, and customer interactions in the dealership management system.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines, warranty policies, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor and manage the department’s financial performance, including labor sales, gross profit margins, and expenses.
  • Oversee the scheduling of repairs and maintenance to maximize technician productivity and minimize customer wait times.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and training opportunities for the service team.
