About The Position

Our Sales Professionals are responsible for selling vehicles and meeting dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards. This role involves understanding customer needs, demonstrating vehicles, delivering vehicles with a focus on customer loyalty, and establishing personal income goals. The position requires maintaining customer follow-up systems, staying current with automotive industry knowledge, understanding sales laws, coordinating with other departments, attending training, and reporting to the Sales Manager. Safety policies and procedures must be followed.

Requirements

  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1-5 years of Sales dealership, and/or customer facing Sales experience.
  • Ford Brand or domestic experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards.

Responsibilities

  • Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening, then demonstrate vehicles including test drives.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand operating features, warranty, and paperwork to establish customer loyalty.
  • Establish personal income goals consistent with dealership productivity standards and develop a strategy to achieve them.
  • Maintain prospect development and owner follow-up systems to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Stay current with incoming inventory, features, accessories, product terminology, and technological changes in the automotive industry.
  • Understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales, including equity, values, and depreciation concepts.
  • Coordinate with the service department and body shop to ensure vehicle reconditioning meets expectations and timelines.
  • Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and manufacturer programs offered by the dealership.
  • Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, activities, and performance analyses.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any accidents to management.
