Requirements

  • Knowledge of agriculture, especially farming and ranching.
  • Inventory Management.
  • Ability to motivate people.
  • Sales ability.

Responsibilities

  • Developing an approved yearly budget of expenses and income with department managers.
  • Assisting and providing direction and support to achieve budget goals.
  • Working closely with all department managers to achieve maximum sales and customer satisfaction within their department.
  • Working closely with all manufacturers and suppliers to meet and comply with all contracts and agreements and the marketing and sales programs as needed or required.
  • Hiring, dismissals, training, development, and performance evaluations of all employees, working closely with department managers in evaluating and improving employee performance.
  • Maintaining contact with customers to improve communications in what is needed for improvements in customer service and that all customer issues and concerns are handled positively.
  • Closely monitoring inventory stocking levels taking advantage of buying programs to increase profitability as well as controlling shrinkage and inventory expenses.
  • Working closely with accounting staff in accounts payable processing as well as direct involvement in all accounts receivable and credit issues and needs.
  • Ensuring compliance with all company business policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
