About The Position

Responsible for the general cleanliness of the dealership’s common areas. This includes maintaining the cleanliness of sales floors, service departments, service bays, and employee break rooms using various cleaning agents and tools. The role also ensures restrooms are clean and stocked, performs surface cleaning, cleans glass and walls, and handles floor care through mopping and vacuuming. Additionally, the janitor is responsible for cleaning refrigerators and microwaves, emptying trash cans, maintaining cleaning supply inventory, and following all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

High school education up to the 11th grade.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one small or group situations to employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule from.
Valid Driver License

Nice To Haves

One year housekeeping or janitorial work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains the cleanliness of the dealership’s common areas including, but not limited to the sales floor, service department, service bay and employee break rooms using various cleaning agents and tools supplied by the dealership.
Ensures the dealership restrooms are clean and stock with soap, toilet paper, paper towels.
Dusting and wiping down all desk tops, counters, window ledges, and other surfaces.
Wiping down entry door glass and spot-cleaning walls to remove smudges and marks.
Mopping hard-surface floors and vacuuming carpeted areas throughout the facilities.
Cleans out the sales, business office, and body shop refrigerators once a week, disposing of unwanted food items, thoroughly cleaning their interiors.
Cleans out the sales, business office, and body shop microwaves once a week, thoroughly.
Cleans service bay, service offices, and waiting area once a week, thoroughly.
Empties trash cans as needed.
Maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and notifying management when stock is low.
Follows all health and safety regulations.
