About The Position

To transport vehicles for the dealership. This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include operating a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans, with the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions. Ensuring necessary paperwork is complete, accurate, and matches the appropriate vehicle. Ensuring that the vehicle being traded is clean and undamaged prior to making delivery. Thoroughly inspecting newly traded vehicles (interior and exterior) before accepting delivery from the dealership. Ensuring a safe and successful transfer of the vehicle to its destination, including a complete inspection of the vehicle prior to and post transfer. Maintaining CSI at or above Company standards. Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work area. Participating in required training. Recording all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system. Following Safeguards rules and regulations. Demonstrating the Company’s Core Values. Complying with Company policies and procedures. Observing all Federal, State, Local, and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Previous delivery or transportation experience desired.
Valid Driver’s License
Basic Computer skills to utilize timekeeping system.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
The position requires regular and predictable attendance.
Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Regularly required to talk or hear.
Frequently required to stand; walk; and sit.
Must be able to lift up to (30) pounds.
Work includes frequent movement around the dealership facilities and the outdoor car lot and movement in and out of cars.
Heavy sitting work.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations.
