About The Position

Dealer Trade Driver Headquarter Mazda is seeking a part-time, on call, Dealer Trade Driver to join our team! Dealer Trade Drivers play a critical role in the efficient operations of our dealership by ensuring the safe and timely transport of vehicles between different dealership locations. The responsibilities include loading, transporting, and unloading vehicles in a professional and courteous manner while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. The primary goal of this position is to facilitate smooth inter-dealership vehicle transfers, ensuring customer satisfaction and optimizing inventory levels.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team
• Must be able to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift, load, and unload vehicles, as well as perform other physical tasks associated with the position
• Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and safe driving practices
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate the ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in vehicle transport, delivery driving, or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport vehicles between dealership locations, ensuring the protection and integrity of the vehicles during transit
• Properly load and secure vehicles onto the transport trailer or delivery truck, adhering to industry safety standards and guidelines
• Maintain accurate records of all transported vehicles, including vehicle information, mileage, and condition reports
• Maintain effective communication with dealership staff to coordinate vehicle pick-ups and deliveries, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction
• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure a safe driving experience and protect the vehicles being transported
• Conduct pre and post-trip inspections of the transport vehicle and report any issues or damages promptly to the appropriate personnel
• Interact professionally and courteously with customers and dealership personnel, providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns or inquiries
• Handle unexpected situations such as traffic delays or vehicle breakdowns, adapting to changing circumstances to ensure on-time deliveries and pick-ups
