About The Position

PAG Direct is looking for a full-time Deal Clerk/Assistant Controller to join their team. This position offers a significant opportunity for the selected candidate to acquire valuable experience within the dynamic retail automotive industry. The role involves processing vehicle deals, managing sales commissions, assisting with month-end closing procedures, generating reports, and supporting year-end audit preparation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, particularly within the automotive dealership sector, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of general accounting is preferred, one year as deal posting
• Retail Automotive & Dealership experience a must
• Must be detail-oriented, accurate & organized
• Ability to communicate well both verbally & written
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
• Reynolds & Reynolds experience required

Nice To Haves

• Toyota experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is an asset
• Working towards a designation is welcomed
• Tekion software experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Process and post vehicle deals
• Sales Commission calculation, distribution, and reconciliation
• Month end assistance to Controller
• Produce miscellaneous reports as required
• Assistance in year-end audit preparation
• Reconcile schedules related to vehicle deals
• Assist updating internal ROs when needed
• Process monthly remittance for deal related products
