Diablo Canyon Power Plant is a safe, clean, reliable and vital energy resource for California. The plant provides low-cost, carbon-free electricity for more than three million people and plays a key role in allowing PG&E to deliver some of the clean energy in the nation to its customers. All plant operations are overseen and monitored by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). This position requires the ability to perform all Journey level work independently. In addition to these roles, provides leadership among engineers, including high level of technical knowledge; possesses leadership skills, including excellent written and verbal communications; leads engineering teams on larger projects; manages or assists with client communications/meetings; review & approval of designs for compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, and best practices; review & approval of engineering estimates; works closely with other engineers, including attendance at client meetings, to ensure consistent, high-quality engineering product delivery to clients; provides final approval of designs and estimates prior to issuance to clients through Project Services team. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreements, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. A reasonable salary range is: California Minimum: $161,520 California Maximum: $207,504 To obtain and maintain employment, you must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen, a security background check for unescorted access to a nuclear plant, psychological screen, and be subject to random drug and alcohol screening in fulfillment of federal requirements. May be required to fill a rotation in the DCPP Emergency Response Organization (ERO) as necessary.
