This role involves owning and administering the Nlyte DCIM platform, ensuring accurate lifecycle records for data center assets. The engineer will be responsible for configuring rack layouts, power chain mappings, and device templates to enhance capacity visibility. A key aspect of the role is leveraging DCIM analytics to optimize power utilization effectiveness (PUE) and cooling efficiency, while also directly managing physical infrastructure tracking across racks, PDUs, and cabling systems. The position requires leading MAC workflows, driving automation, and partnering with facilities teams for BMS integration. Proactive monitoring of power systems and integration with ITSM tools are also crucial. The role includes designing automated provisioning/decommissioning workflows, generating executive reports, and providing strategic recommendations for data center scaling and optimization. Analysis of capacity utilization, rack placement planning, and collaboration with cooling systems to address hotspots are also key responsibilities.
