DC Warehouse Associate
About The Position
GrowGeneration is a leading retailer of hydroponic products in the United States, specializing in horticultural, organics, lighting, and hydroponics supplies. This role is crucial for the safe, secure, and accurate fulfillment of customer orders, stock transfers, and the receiving of purchase orders. The position involves packing orders to ensure they are delivered intact, accurately, and on time, while also optimizing packaging to minimize shipping costs without compromising product quality or safety. Responsibilities include accurately picking items from a large inventory, safely building pallets for larger orders, confirming shipments using warehouse software, and meeting daily shipping goals. Quality assurance during packaging and maintaining a clean, orderly work zone are also key aspects of this role. The associate will communicate any issues to their supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old.
- Ability to push and pull up to 200 lbs.
- Ability to lift, slide, and carry up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to constantly bend, reach, and stand throughout the shift.
- Follow all codes of conduct, safety parameters, productivity, and quality standards, as well as attendance points.
- 1 year of experience in Warehousing.
- 1 year of experience in Order Pulling.
- 1 year of experience with Forklift (High Rise Stock Picker).
- 1 year of experience with Forklift (Sit Down).
- Computer literacy: Microsoft Office, WMS, Shipping software.
- A positive and helpful attitude.
- Great communication skills in a large team environment.
- Excellent punctuality, attendance, and reliability.
- Attention to detail, organization, and cleanliness.
- Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- A drive to keep learning and always improve.

Responsibilities
- Packing orders to ensure customers receive them intact, accurately, and on time, while maintaining quality.
- Downsizing packaging to minimize shipping costs without sacrificing product quality or insurance.
- Accurately picking items from a large inventory.
- Safely building pallets for larger orders/transfers.
- Ship confirming orders to the customer using provided warehouse software.
- Meeting daily goals for order/transfer shipment.
- Performing quality assurance during packaging.
- Keeping the work zone clean and orderly to promote a safe and clean work environment.
- Communicating with the supervisor regarding any issues or concerns related to work duties.
- Performing other duties and tasks as requested by the supervisor.
