The DC Supervisor - Stocking is responsible for identifying, prioritizing, and overseeing the proper stocking of incoming product to ensure accurate and available inventory. This role involves resolving personnel and shipment issues within the department and performing all tasks according to the proper method using the DC-WMS or paper documentation. The supervisor manages the distribution and stocking of all incoming merchandise, including common carrier freight, UPS, WTW, and new store returns, ensuring accuracy. They also manage the Assistant Stocking Supervisor, Inbound Lead, and Inbound Materials handling personnel, and are responsible for the safety of all DC team members, coordinating with the safety supervisor on safety and security concerns. Key duties include ensuring accurate and timely completion of RGS’ and stock adjustments, accurate handling of surplus merchandise, and product line maintenance. The supervisor oversees new product line set ups and changeovers, ensures timely team member evaluations, and enforces company policies and procedures, including proper training and licensing for equipment users. Maintaining a clean, organized DC, communicating with other supervisors for workflow, and interviewing/hiring prospective team members with HR supervisors are also essential. The role involves coordinating with the operations manager on goals, plans, and capital expenditures for budgeting, and maintaining safety standards while identifying and addressing unsafe practices and situations. Other duties as assigned.
