About The Position

Distribution Center Splitters/Pickers are responsible to prepare product for shipment to the retail locations and/or receive product from vendors. This role involves managing inventory, ensuring accurate allocation and pricing of merchandise, and operating various equipment within a distribution center environment.

Requirements

• Computer skills required
• Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
• Long periods of standing
• Frequent bending and twisting

Responsibilities

• Scan merchandise into inventory using scanning equipment
• Print price tags and price merchandise accordingly
• Break down merchandise into smaller quantities for shipping to retail locations
• Responsible for accurate allocation of quantities
• Submit packing slips and freight bills as necessary
• Cross check quantities to packing slip, making necessary notations when needed
• Load merchandise onto proper pellet, shrink wrap when necessary
• Practice safety in the workplace by using safe work habits
• Put merchandise away into proper bin locations
• Complete daily pick orders for all stores
• Rotate stock in bins; first in – first out
• Submit packing slips and freight bills as necessary
• Operate fork-lifts, reach trucks, and/or pick machines
• Manage bin inventories and notify manager of discrepancies
• Routine daily maintenance of lift trucks
• Other duties as assigned
