About The Position

PAQ, Inc. is a 100% Employee-Owned Company consisting of 25 retail grocery stores throughout the Central Valley and Central Coast of California. The Distribution Center (DC) Clerk will receive, store, and distribute materials, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure the warehouse is organized and efficient.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Over one year of Warehouse Clerk experience is preferred.
  • Complete the company’s OSHA-accredited forklift training.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Basic math skills for inventory counts and order processing.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues promptly.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods, typically 8-hour shifts.
  • Lift and carry items up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Perform repetitive motions such as reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, and handling products.
  • Climbing ladders or scaffolding to perform tasks at elevated heights.
  • Maintain clear communication with team members.
  • Move quickly and efficiently to manage workload.
  • Maintain physical stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform tasks that require fine motor skills, such as using tools or handling small objects.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage. Unload goods and materials safely using appropriate equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular inventory counts, and report discrepancies.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to customer requirements and company standards.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and safe. Label and store items in designated areas.
  • Complete and maintain necessary inventory, shipping, and receiving documentation.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
