DC Operations Manager
About The Position
The DC Operations Manager is responsible for monitoring and ensuring shift key performance indicators (KPIs) are met to achieve required levels of safety, culture, operational efficiencies, and organizational objectives. This role involves identifying and implementing actions to improve DC safety, engagement, and productivity, while reducing overall expenses. The manager will lead a team of 3-5 Supervisors and 100-150 Team Members/temp workers, ensuring the implementation of all company policies, procedures, and Team Member safety. Responsibilities include optimizing staffing, prioritizing trailer unloads, overseeing the DC trailer yard, and fostering a team-oriented environment through coaching, training, and development.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in distribution leadership in a supervisory position
- Strong background in supply chain systems (i.e. WMS, MHS, YMS)
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage, motivate, and develop others
- Must possess good reasoning, conflict-management, employee relations, and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must possess outstanding communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Ability to lift 50 pounds required

Responsibilities

- Leads 3- 5 Supervisors, as well as 100 - 150 Team Members/temp workers
- Responsible for implementation of all company policies, procedures, and Team Member safety
- Optimizes staffing by area to maximize efficiency and reduce cost
- Identifies priority of trailer unloads to maximize efficiency and ensure detention fees are not incurred
- Oversees DC trailer yard to ensure it remains fluid
- Leads, coaches, trains, and develops all distribution employees by providing real time feedback and creating development plans
- Supports a team-oriented environment with Supervisors and Team Members that fosters engagement
