About The Position

The Distribution Center (DC) Manager oversees operations of all ORW/4WP distribution centers to ensure efficient, accurate, and customer-focused warehouse and fulfillment performance. This role is responsible for leading all warehouse operations including inbound receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, logistics, transportation, staffing, safety, and continuous process improvement. The DC Manager drives operational excellence through leadership, technology, workflow optimization, and accountability while ensuring customer satisfaction, inventory accuracy, and financial performance.

Requirements

  • Experience with automation in Legend
  • Experience with inventory control methods such as Cycle counts and Physical inventories
  • Experience evaluating freight carriers and logistics providers
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, service levels, and transportation costs
  • Experience managing operational financial performance including labor expense, overtime, freight expense, supplies, and capital/truck expenditures.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with purchasing, inventory planning, retail operations, customer service, and executive leadership teams.
  • Experience working with ARB supply chain to execute leased area functions.
  • Experience supervising daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, inventory control, and quality assurance.
  • Experience overseeing transportation and logistics operations including Xfers, Small Packl, LTL, FTL, and Express freight coordination.
  • Experience scheduling warehouse staffing and labor resources.
  • Experience monitoring daily order flow and fulfillment metrics.
  • Experience conducting regular inspections of warehouse equipment, tools, forklifts, racking systems, and facility conditions.
  • Experience meeting regularly with warehouse supervisors and team leads to review productivity, operational challenges, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention initiatives.
  • Experience investigating and resolving operational issues related to inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, damages, and transportation delays.
  • Experience monitoring warehouse housekeeping, organization, and security standards.
  • Experience reviewing operational KPIs including: Order aging, Order accuracy, Inventory accuracy, Shipping performance, Labor productivity, Freight costs, Overtime, Damage claims.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Experience supporting peak season planning (Shows and Truck Fest), staffing strategies, and operational scaling initiatives.
  • Experience interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
  • Experience planning, assigning, and directing work.
  • Experience appraising performance.
  • Experience rewarding and disciplining employees.
  • Experience addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation, including a Motor Vehicle Record review.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all distribution center operations perform at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction, order accuracy, and on-time delivery as primary objectives.
  • Supervise, organize, develop, and train warehouse lead(s) and employees while establishing operational goals, KPIs, and performance standards.
  • Develop and improve warehouse workflows and operational processes utilizing WMS (Scan gun utilization), TMS, and automation in Legend to maximize productivity.
  • Oversee all inbound and outbound inventory activities, ensuring products are received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped according to company standards and schedules.
  • Manage warehouse layout, space utilization, slotting strategies, equipment usage, and labor planning to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Cross functional with Inventory Control team to minimize shrinkage, damages, and discrepancies while maintaining high inventory accuracy levels though Cyle counts and Physical inventories.
  • Evaluate freight carriers and logistics providers while managing vendor relationships, service levels, and transportation costs.
  • Manage operational financial performance including labor expense, overtime, freight expense, supplies, and capital/truck expenditures.

  • Meet regularly with warehouse supervisors and team leads to review productivity, operational challenges, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention initiatives.
