About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical Division’s Supply Chain Group is currently seeking a DC Inbound / Receiving Warehouse Supervisor (Split Shift) to join the team. This is an onsite role based at the Fontana, CA facility. The Fontana facility has approximately ~100 employees and serves the Electrical Sector, Americas Region. The Fontana facility is a cost-center service organization with the central purpose of providing value-added logistics support for the distribution, sales, and service of electrical products and components, in the US & internationally. The Distribution Operations Supervisor will provide leadership and direction for the assigned shift (4:30pm to 1:00am) within a multi-shift, high volume, high order capacity Distribution Center. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership/manager of people role within a Distribution Center or warehouse environment
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Fontana, CA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership/manager of people role within Distribution Center environment.
  • Prior experience with WMS systems.
  • SAP and/or Manhattan experience preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certified

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, managing staff, and ensuring the efficient, safe, and accurate movement of goods within the facility.
  • Ensure operational targets are met while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and quality.
  • Exhibit Eaton’s Leadership Style while working cooperatively with other functional leaders to exceed the needs of the customer.
  • Deliver clear instructions and ensure understanding within the team.
  • De-escalate conflicts and promote a respectful work environment.
  • Actively listen and respond to team feedback.
  • Responsible for employees within a department and the contribution and performance of the department.
  • Build a culture of accountability and trust, holding team to high standards while supporting their success.
  • Track and manage key performance indicators (KPIs), including Inbound fulfillment rates, productivity (units per hour, picks per hour), on time to stock, and internal quality error rates.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and drive team performance to meet or exceed established targets and cost for their respective areas.
  • Drive the processes in the department through the Eaton Business systems.
  • Assist Site leader in the development of processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain machinery, and reduce overall costs and through these improvements exceed the customer’s expectations.
  • Ensure the organization’s decision making is based on a process-oriented culture – linking strategy to actions.
