About The Position

The DC 3rd Class Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment at CMI’s customer site in Washington, DC. This role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing facilities equipment, fixtures, and property. The engineer will work on systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems controls, building automation systems, carpentry, painting, masonry, and appliance repairs. They will also perform minor grounds work and skilled maintenance tasks. The position requires troubleshooting and correcting infrastructure problems and ensuring the safe and effective maintenance of customer facilities and equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3rd Class DC License is required
• Knowledge of systems which include but not limited to performing diagnostics and repairs on electrical equipment, plumbing repairs, toilets, sinks, domestic water system, etc
• Demonstrated working knowledge of engineering and building systems

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnoses and repairs to facilities equipment, fixtures, and property including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems controls, building automation systems, carpentry, painting, masonry, appliance repairs, minor grounds work.
• Effectively perform minor and /or skilled maintenance tasks at customer facilities, property, fixtures, electrical and mechanical systems, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot/diagnose and correct infrastructure problems with facilities, equipment, and property.
• Safely and effectively perform minor and /or skilled maintenance tasks on customer facilities, property, fixtures, electrical and mechanical systems, and equipment.
