About The Position

Goodwill Central Texas Commercial Services provides janitorial and related contract services while creating meaningful employment opportunities through purpose-driven workforce programs. As a Daytime Custodian, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at an IRS facility. This role requires someone who can work independently and take pride in their work. Floor-care machinery is not operated during the day shift.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly push, pull, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility during the shift.
Ability to work the assigned daytime schedule with reliable and predictable attendance.
Ability to pass a contract-required background check.
Valid government-issued photo identification and a secondary I-9 document with a matching name.
Selective Service registration or applicable exemption.
AbilityOne Program eligibility based on a documented medical condition. During the recruiter screening process, candidates will be asked to disclose details of their medical condition and provide medical documentation to verify eligibility.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
At least one year of commercial or federal-contract custodial experience.
Experience working independently while maintaining established cleaning and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain restrooms, fixtures, floors, and other assigned areas using approved products and procedures.
Sweep and mop floors daily.
Complete assigned floor-care tasks that do not require machinery.
Spot-clean doors, walls, windows, and other surfaces.
Restock cleaning and restroom supplies as needed.
Empty trash and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
Safely mix, handle, and use cleaning chemicals according to established safety procedures.
Maintain assigned areas in accordance with contract standards and Blue Solutions expectations.
Adhere to the assigned daytime schedule and maintain reliable and predictable attendance.
Complete required training and follow all applicable safety, security, and facility procedures.
Represent Goodwill Central Texas professionally while working at the customer facility.
