Nucor Steel South Carolina is seeking candidates for the position of Daylight Maintenance Tech. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, repair and improve our QAL equipment as well as support the overall QAL operation. Requirements

Able to operate fork trucks, overhead cranes, man-lifts, work in confined spaces, at heights and climb ladders and stairs.
Willing to travel for training and business.
Willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and be on call during off hours.
Must be able to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
3+ years of multi-craft industrial maintenance experience.
2+ years working knowledge in PLC, Drives, Servos.

Nice To Haves

Steel mill experience.
Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of robotics.
Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience with failure investigations, reporting, and documentation.
Familiarity with LOTO procedures and drawing management.
Oracle/EBS proficiency — PMs (planning, performing, documenting), work orders, and warehouse/parts management, including the ability to select proper vendors based on pricing and lead times.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair and improve QAL equipment.
Support the overall QAL operation.
Help plan and manage daily work, down days, preventive maintenance, and shutdowns.
Lead the team in improving safety, reliability and managing costs.
Assist with the technical training to improve troubleshooting skills of the QAL team.
Utilize and maintain EAM and our document system.
Read and update drawings and schematics.
