About The Position
The Daycare Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. The teacher plans and implements age-appropriate educational, physical, and cognitive development while maintaining a warm and supportive classroom atmosphere.
Requirements
- Experience in early childhood education
- Knowledge of child development principles
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Nice To Haves
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience with specific curriculum frameworks
- Bilingual skills
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and daily activities
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety and well-being
- Support children's emotional, social, and behavioral development
- Encourage positive interactions and model appropriate behavior
- Observe, document, and assess children's progress and development
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, toileting/diapering, and rest time
- Maintain accurate attendance and developmental records
- Follow all daycare policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety standards
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support classroom goals
