We are hiring a cook for our child care center. This is a steady, weekday position for someone who is dependable, organized, and takes pride in keeping a kitchen clean and running smoothly. Our kitchen plays an important role in keeping our program running smoothly each day.

Requirements

• Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently
• Strong organization and time management
• Ability to stay on schedule and keep the kitchen running smoothly
• Attention to cleanliness and food safety
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Food Handler Permit required
• Ability to follow structured menus and guidelines
• Dependable and consistent
• 21 years of age or older
• Drivers license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

• Experience in food service or kitchen work preferred
• Education in the child care field

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals and snacks for children following a set menu
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen
• Follow all food safety and health guidelines
• Manage food inventory and communicate supply needs
• Wash dishes and keep up with daily kitchen cleaning
• Work with the team to ensure meals are ready on time
