Daycare Cleaning Team Member
About The Position
Office Pride is seeking a Cleaning Team Member to help maintain a clean, healthy, and welcoming daycare environment. This position focuses on cleaning classrooms, common areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and other facility spaces to support the health and safety of children, staff, and visitors. This location focuses heavily on cleaning floors and disinfecting restrooms and common areas used by children throughout the day. Team members should take pride in creating a clean, healthy environment that supports the well-being of children, staff, and families. Cleanliness in this environment plays a critical role in supporting children’s health and daily activities through consistent sanitation of high-touch and shared surfaces.
Requirements
- Dependable and detail-oriented
- Reliable transportation to assigned client locations
- Ability to work with a team member
- Ability to start and end together with a team member
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to perform routine physical cleaning tasks (walking, standing, stairs, bending)
- Strong communication skills
- Understands the importance of cleanliness in facilities serving children
Nice To Haves
- Previous janitorial experience is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Vacuum carpets, rugs, and entry mats
- Sweep and mop hard surface flooring
- Empty trash containers
- Clean and sanitize restrooms
- Restock restroom supplies
- Clean breakroom (Trash and Floors)
- Spot clean glass and entry doors
- Follow site-specific cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures
- Report maintenance concerns or supply needs to management
