About The Position

Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School is seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Part-Time Daycare Assistant to join our Early Childhood Program. This is a school-year position with a schedule of 2 days per week, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. A competitive hourly wage based on experience will be offered.

Requirements

• Experience working with young children is preferred.
• Warm, patient, and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to supervise and interact with children in a caring and professional manner.
• Must complete all required background checks and comply with Archdiocese of Detroit Safe Environment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities.
• Support daily routines, including snacks, playtime, rest periods, and transitions.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming daycare environment.
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Follow school policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
• Assist with classroom activities, games, crafts, and learning experiences as directed.
