About The Position

Eager Explorers Daycare at SPORTIME Schenectady is a small daycare, licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), located within SPORTIME Schenectady. Eager Explorers is designed to serve preschool age children, focusing on their age-appropriate play, learning, development and fun. The daycare offers small class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratios to meet individual needs within the classroom setting, along with a diverse and comprehensive curriculum. The role involves joining a talented team to inspire children to be lifelong learners through a play-based curriculum, ensuring children are imparted with the knowledge to succeed by affectionate and loving staff.

Requirements

• Energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children
• At least 1 year experience working with children
• Ability to pass a background check

Responsibilities

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Help maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Work alongside a lead teacher and director to ensure a quality experience is had by all
• Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
• Complete extensive training on child care and child development topics.
