About The Position

Eager Explorers Daycare at SPORTIME is a small daycare, licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS), located within SPORTIME Schenectady. Eager Explorers is designed to serve preschool age children with a focus on age-appropriate play, learning, development and FUN. Small class sizes and low student-to-teacher ratios allow for individual needs to be met within the classroom setting. We offer a diverse and comprehensive curriculum. Requirements

• Energetic, dependable, passionate individuals who are at least 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• The ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• At least 1 year experience working with children.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow all licensing guidelines and company standards to ensure the daily care of every child.
• Help maintain a fun, interactive classroom that is clean and organized.
• Work alongside a lead teacher and director to ensure a quality experience is had by all.
• Develop your ability to accurately observe, assess, and plan for children, as well as effectively communicate with families.
• Complete extensive training on child care and child development topics.
