The Day Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of all receiving/replenishment warehouse employees. The individual will be responsible for adherence to the inventory control procedures and for maintaining an efficient, safe, and orderly warehouse. The Supervisor will also ensure accuracy of internal/external shipments, transfers, local vendors, and special events on the dayshift along with other minor logistics related to Warehousing/Delivery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Warehouse Management: Train and supervise all day warehouse employees to ensure they are performing their assigned duties in a safe and efficient manner. Monitor day warehouse personnel for adherence to schedule and overtime regulations. Conduct routine briefings for day warehouse personnel, communicating appropriate metrics from prior shift, safety issues or concerns, pertinent information related to current shift and overall plan for current shift. Assist in the supervision of delivery drivers when in the warehouse, ensuring strip truck procedures are followed correctly including sweeping out trailers & sorting of returned kegs and pallets. Ensure replenishment occurs in an efficient manner so night picking operations are not slowed down. Ensure the closer dated product are positioned to be picked first to ensure crew follows company product rotation standards. Secure the warehouse by maintaining proper security measures and monitoring unauthorized parties. Ensure the warehouse is kept neat, orderly, and clear of trash and debris daily. Ensure all forklift operators are trained and certified in the safe and proper operation of equipment. Ensure all warehouse employees adhere to all Company policies and procedures; and provide appropriate training, guidance, and documentation where necessary. Communicate nightly with dispatcher regarding nightly totals, routing, truck loading and any opportunities or challenges related to driving warehouse efficiency. Follows end-of-shift checklist to ensure all necessary functions are completed prior to departure. Supervisory, Team Development, and Administration: Effectively interview, hire, train, and develop staff; Responsible for training all current and new warehouse staff. Plan, assign tasks, and direct work of subordinate personnel; examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Provide and post work schedule, vacation schedule, and all other pertinent documents. Appraise performance and reward employees appropriately; address complaints and resolve personnel problems; work to maintain harmony and unity among staff. Monitor and submit bi-weekly timecard and payroll documentation. Take necessary corrective action in a timely manner and in accordance with Company policy. Warehouse Duties: Shared responsibility in the control of damage and minimizing loss. Ensure that rows are stocked at appropriate levels. Participate in practical application of safety and maintenance polices as they apply to company operations; Keep warehouse clean and ensure that all trash is picked up. Move and change product locations as needed. Keep pick areas stocked and with proper signage. Ensure that all equipment is fully charged for the next shift. Participate with weekly inventories (or as needed). Is an advocate for a positive workplace environment and is committed to ensuring a complete and thorough job is done. Participate in shipping, receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, rotation, check-in, repacking, and security of products; Familiar with the expectation of proper rotation of all products during receiving, replenishment, picking, repacking, and returns activities. Learn to utilize the eoStar operating systems and its components. Participate in the removal of shrink wrap from all picking pallets. Ability to safely operate a forklift.
