About The Position

Warehouse Associates at Columbia Distributing pre-pick beverage orders and place the correct pallets on trucks. Teamwork is critical to success in this position. The role performs a range of warehouse activities involving products, including shipping, receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, loading, rotation, check-in, repacking, and security. The position operates mostly indoors, with occasional outdoor work, and involves variable workdays and hours that may include weekends and overtime. Travel is not required.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Communicate in English by reading, writing, and speaking well enough to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Write routine reports and correspondence.
Speak effectively with customers or employees of the organization.
Lift, carry, push, or pull 50 pounds repetitively and up to 165 pounds.
Bend, stoop, crouch, squat, use arms, wrists, and hands, and grasp.
Climb stairs or ladders.
Operate equipment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Perform duties related to shipping, receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, loading, rotation, check-in, repacking, and product security.
Rotate products during receiving, replenishment, picking, repacking, and returns according to company standards.
Participate in pre-picking and merchandising products as needed.
Maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with coworkers, supervisors, managers, and others encountered on the job.
Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards established by management.
Read order sheets accurately.
Work with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure productivity standards are acceptable.
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Core Values.
Complete other assigned tasks or projects.
