About The Position

Propel Schools is currently seeking Day-to-Day Substitute Teacher to join our
amazing team at Propel Pitcairn School. The Substitute Teacher will be
responsible for covering day-to-day absences in the assigned building. This role
is a great opportunity to become familiar with propel school's culture and many
different class settings. This pathway will prepare you to eventually become a

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• DTD Substitutes who do not hold a PA certification will be required to obtain a PA DTD Emergency Certification for the year and LEA associated with employment.
• 1+ years working with students in a classroom environment preferred.
• TB Test
• Act 34 Criminal Clearance
• Act 114 FBI Clearance
• Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
• Mandated Reporter Training
• Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure
• Act 24 Arrest and Conviction Disclosure

Responsibilities

• Instructs scholars and groups in specified content areas.
• Monitors students’ progress in and outside of the classroom.
• Maintains the physical environment of the classroom.
• Carries out lesson plans that were either left by the classroom teacher or rolls out pre-planned lessons appropriate for grade level and Subject area.
• Provides support to scholar overall learning when not assigned to a specific classroom, including but not limited to duties coverage, working with small groups of students, etc.
