About The Position

As a Street Sweeper, you will deliver essential services that help improve public safety and enhance environmental quality. This role involves taking ownership of assigned routes, driving the street sweeper, and operating specialized equipment to keep streets clean and well-maintained. The job responsibilities outline the core duties and expectations, providing clarity on how the role supports Company goals, with the understanding that duties may evolve with business needs.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 1 year DOT driving experience
  • CDL-B & DOT Medical Card
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, conduct inspections, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong ability to plan routes, complete work efficiently and accurately, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain consistent, dependable attendance.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors and teammates, represent the Company professionally, and promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Review routes in advance, ask clarifying questions as needed, and complete assigned work on time with attention to quality.
  • Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe and operational before starting work.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow traffic laws and site protocols, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures.
  • Promptly report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork.
  • Represent the Company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients.
  • Respond effectively to changing conditions, solve problems as they arise, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.
