About The Position

Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. This role operates a front-end loader to move, load, and stockpile aggregate materials safely and efficiently. The operator will also perform daily equipment inspections, basic preventive maintenance, and coordinate with plant and truck drivers to ensure accurate blending, loading, and material flow. Maintaining clean work areas, including haul roads, stockpiles, and loading zones, and adhering to all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations are key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to safely operate heavy equipment in a fast-paced industrial setting
  • Strong attention to safety, detail, and operational efficiency
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills across crews and functions
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify and report equipment issues
  • Reliability, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Responsibilities

  • Operate front-end loader to move, load, and stockpile aggregate materials safely and efficiently
  • Inspect equipment daily and perform basic preventive maintenance and reporting
  • Coordinate with plant and truck drivers to ensure accurate blending, loading, and material flow
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas including haul roads, stockpiles, and loading zones
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations at all times
