About The Position

Lifesteps is expanding services in Butler County and is hiring multiple part-time Program Aides in Butler, PA. Lifesteps is a nonprofit human services organization that has served Western Pennsylvania for over 100 years by helping individuals and families with life’s changing needs. We provide programs and services that support individuals with special needs in reaching their fullest potential. The Program Aide supports adults with special needs through daily activities, including crafts, community outings, and life skills development. This role includes observing and reporting participant progress, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and transporting participants in an Agency vehicle for community-based activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Current driver’s license with the ability to travel utilizing an Agency vehicle
• Ability to obtain and maintain Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification; training provided by Lifesteps
• First Aid and CPR certification, or ability to obtain and maintain within six months; training provided by Lifesteps

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience working with adults with disabilities or in a direct care position.

Responsibilities
