About The Position

The Day Porter plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional corporate headquarters environment. This position ensures that all common areas, amenities, and shared spaces are consistently well-maintained, supporting both daily operations and a positive employee and visitor experience.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of janitorial or facilities experience in a corporate or commercial environment.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, organized spaces.
  • Ability to work independently while staying aligned with team needs.
  • Clear communication skills (written and verbal in English).
  • Reliable, proactive, and responsive to daily facility needs.
  • Ability to remain active and on your feet for an 8-hour shift.
  • Capable of bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and climbing stairs or step ladders.
  • Ability to push/pull cleaning equipment such as carts or vacuums.
  • Commitment to safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation across common areas, hallways, and lobby spaces
  • Clean and polish high-visibility areas including doors, seating, floors, and counters
  • Remove smudges, fingerprints, and marks from glass, partitions, and other surfaces
  • Maintain coffee stations, ensuring machines are clean, stocked, and operational
  • Routinely inspect and clean restrooms, kitchenettes, and gym/changing areas.
  • Restock paper products, soap, and essential supplies throughout the day.
  • Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators, freezers, and shared kitchen spaces.
  • Operate dishwashers and keep kitchen areas orderly and sanitary.
  • Address spills immediately with proper cleaning procedures.
  • Monitor and empty trash and recycling in common areas throughout the day.
  • Set up and break down furniture for meetings and company events.
  • Ensure conference rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for scheduled meetings.
  • Keep janitorial storage areas organized and fully stocked.
  • Monitor inventory levels and submit supply requests as needed.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues to the Office Manager.
  • Respond to facility-related needs and escalate concerns when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe environment by placing and removing safety signage as needed.
