About The Position

The Day Porter is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment during business hours. This role focuses on high-traffic areas, responding to immediate cleaning needs, and ensuring restrooms, common spaces, and entryways remain presentable throughout the day. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the overall appearance and sanitation of the workplace, contributing to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. This is a good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, breakrooms, and common areas throughout the day
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
Monitor restrooms and restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
Clean spills, fingerprints, smudges, and debris as needed
Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners
Wipe down high-touch surfaces such as door handles, elevator buttons, and railings
Set up or break down rooms for meetings or events as requested
Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisor
Follow established safety procedures and cleaning protocols
Provide courteous and professional customer service to staff and visitors
