About The Position

The Day Porter – Power Washer is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of assigned properties through the operation of commercial power washing equipment. This role involves operating commercial-grade pressure washing equipment to clean various exterior surfaces, performing seasonal and scheduled power washing, selecting appropriate cleaning solutions and techniques, and conducting general maintenance tasks. The position also requires identifying and reporting safety hazards and property concerns, documenting work in a maintenance app, and maintaining reliable attendance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating commercial pressure washing equipment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision in accordance with work orders and verbal instruction.
  • Demonstrates discretion and professionalism when interacting with tenants and co-workers; maintains confidentiality as required.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to consistently provide legendary customer service.
  • Proven track record of success in both team-based and independent work environments.
  • Resourceful, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to on-site challenges.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with clients and team members, as well as be able to interpret instructions and exchange accurate information.
  • Must have sufficient visual and mental perception to comprehend written work requirements and determine the actions needed to meet finished product standards.
  • Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds (equipment, hoses, chemical containers).
  • Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods and in inclement weather conditions.
  • Must be able to move, transport, set up, operate, and store commercial power washing equipment, hoses, and accessories in various site conditions.
  • Must be able to withstand prolonged exposure to noise, water, cleaning chemicals, and outdoor environmental conditions while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial-grade pressure washing equipment to clean building exteriors, sidewalks, parking lots, dumpster areas, entryways, loading docks, curbs, and other hard surfaces as directed.
  • Perform seasonal and scheduled power washing rotations across assigned properties in accordance with work orders and management direction.
  • Select appropriate pressure settings, nozzles, and cleaning solutions based on surface type and degree of soiling; adjust techniques to prevent damage to surfaces, landscaping, or structures.
  • Perform general pre- and post-wash site preparation including removal of debris, trash, cobwebs, and obstructions to ensure safe and effective washing operations.
  • Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and minor servicing of power washing equipment including checking hoses, connections, nozzles, and fluid levels; report equipment issues to management promptly.
  • Responsible for performing general maintenance including but not limited to ensuring trash is picked up around the building, cobwebbing, cleaning the dumpster area, ensuring the entry ways are clean and free of debris, wipe down trash cans and ash urns and empty if necessary.
  • Identify and immediately report all safety hazards, surface damage, or property maintenance concerns observed while on-site to management.
  • Accountable for timely completion of work orders in the Fieldpoint maintenance app, including accurate documentation of time and materials.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance required.
