About The Position
A-Action Facility Services Inc. is looking for a Day Porter/Janitor responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the facility during regular business hours. This position performs routine cleaning, sanitizing, and light maintenance tasks to ensure that common areas, restrooms, offices, and entrances remain presentable for employees, visitors, and customers.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety practices.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial, porter, janitorial, or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish floors and surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and replace liners.
- Restock restroom and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Clean windows, glass doors, and entryways.
- Respond promptly to spills and other cleaning needs.
- Monitor the facility for safety hazards and report maintenance issues.
- Perform light maintenance duties, including changing light bulbs and replacing supplies.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and follow proper safety procedures.
- Provide courteous customer service to employees, residents, and visitors.
