What You’ll Do As a Floater Day Porter, you’ll be On Call to cover properties throughout San Diego County as often as needed; hours will vary on the workload and coverage needs.
Requirements
- A strong communicator in English or Spanish – both written and verbal
- Familiar with using a mobile device (such as a cell phone or tablet) regularly for time keeping and document review
- Enjoys providing friendly customer service
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working independently
- Physically active and enjoy being on your feet outdoors
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid California Driver's License, and proof of vehicle insurance.
Nice To Haves
- Experienced in janitorial, custodial, or porter work (preferred—but not required!)
Responsibilities
- Keep the property clean and presentable throughout the day
- Pick up trash and empty receptacles
- Sweep, mop, dust, and wipe down surfaces
- Clean restrooms and high-traffic areas
- Clean exterior doors, windows, and windowsills
- Remove debris like stickers, gum, spills, and graffiti
- Walk the property regularly to inspect cleanliness
- Report maintenance or repair needs to your supervisor
